The ICORN anthology 'Literature in Exile' / 'Literatura na uchodźstwie' will be presented at an event on Wednesday, 25 March 2026, at 18:00 at the Warsaw Observatory of Culture. The anthology was published in October 2025 by the Cultural Institute Villa Decius in Krakow.
The event will highlight literature created under conditions of forced migration and the experiences of writers living in Poland through the ICORN programme.
In addition to the book presentation, the programme will include a panel discussion featuring Belarusian poet Andrej Khadanovich, Cuban poets Zulema Gutiérrez and Javier L. Mora, and Uyghur writer and researcher Rabigül Erkmen. The discussion will be moderated by Sasza Iwaniuk.
Alongside the writers participating in the event, the anthology also features works by Syrian poet and writer Kholoud Charaf, Turkish author Aslı Erdoğan, Iraqi poet and musician Umar Abdul Nasser, and Angolan poet and mixed media artist Aaiún Nin. All the contributing writers have been ICORN residents in one of the five Polish Cities of Refuge: Krakow, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Katowice, and Warsaw.
