Benyamin Farnam is a filmmaker, photojournalist and writer originally from Iran, known for his work on human rights, gender and sexuality, and marginalised communities. His documentaries and journalistic projects often give a platform to voices rarely heard, highlighting the struggles and resilience of those living in exile, facing discrimination, or challenging social norms.

Farnam has published articles on gender and sexuality, led several queer organizations, and serves on Oslo’s Gender and Sexuality Diversity Committee 2023-2027. His work combines artistic expression with social engagement, emphasising themes of freedom, identity, and justice.

In Iran, Farnam faced persecution for his work and political views, and was forced to flee to Turkey.

He was the ICORN resident between 2018 and 2020.
