Pegāh Ahmadi is a poet, scholar, literary critic, and translator from Iran. She made her debut as a poet at the age of seventeen when one of her poems was published in the literary magazine Takāpu. Ahmadi studied Persian Literature at the University of Tehran and has been a regular contributor to literary magazines, writing on topics such as theoretical and literary criticism, particularly in relation to poetry and its translation.
She has published several books of poetry, anthologies, literary reviews, and translations of American poetry, including the works of Sylvia Plath. Ahmadi also served as editor of the literary review Paperik and taught the course Poetry in Cinema at the Film School in Tehran.
From 2009 to 2012, Pegāh Ahmadi was the ICORN resident in Frankfurt.
